Jefferson County undertook a countywide pedestrian accessibility planning effort. As of February 24th, the Walk-BIke Jefferson County Master Plan has been adopted by the County Council. The County will now be aggressively seeking grant funding for projects highlighted on the county roadway system. We will also be coordinating with MoDOT on several other potential projects that have been highlighted on their network. So far, MoDOT has agreed to perform a pedestrian improvements feasibility study along US 61-67 from Arnold to Pevely. That effort begins this Summer 2025, and MoDOT will seek input from the County and all the municipalities along this corridor.
