Main thoroughfares receives the top priority. After those roads are tackled then side streets are cleared followed by subdivisions. City owned parking lots are the last to be cleared.
When bad weather is predicted, parking off street where possible makes it easier and safer for the plow truck drivers to clear the roads. Vehicles left on the streets will be plowed around and those drivers will possibly need to removed the snow "hump" that could surround their vehicle.
We ask that people be patient and give the plows a chance to clear the streets before venturing out. We want everyone to be safe!
