Hello, I'm Chief Doug Wendel, on behalf of the men and women of the Festus Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our website.

As we enter the 21st century, law enforcement is presented with a myriad of challenges and opportunities. Utilizing a philosophy of community policing and a continuing commitment to excellence and service our department is eager to accept these challenges and explore the opportunities. Through different strategies such as community policing, the city has an opportunity to take an active part in the deployment and utilization of the agency’s assets.

I eagerly solicit additional suggestions and observations on how to improve our level of service and expand the interaction between the police and the community.
